Tips & Tricks
👉🏼 Wear dry socks with your safety sneakers.
👉🏼 For every 8 hours of wear, allow 16 hours of drying time—twice as long as they were
worn.
👉🏼 Clean with a damp cloth only; no cleaning agents.
👉🏼 Avoid drying your work sneakers near or on a heater as it can damage the material.
Instead, let them dry in a well-ventilated area.
👉🏼 Remove the insoles from soaked DTCH® work shoes and stuff them with newspaper
to help absorb moisture.
👉🏼 Use 2 pairs of safety sneakers and alternate them daily to extend their lifespan.
👉🏼 Regularly check your work sneakers for damage such as loose stitches and repair or
replace them as needed.
👉🏼 Seek advice on shoe size and fit. A proper fit is not only more comfortable but also
safer.
Replace Your Work Sneakers in Time
Your safety sneakers are your reliable companions on the job, but even the best work
sneakers will eventually wear out. It's crucial to stay vigilant for signs of wear and regularly
inspect your safety sneakers.
If something heavy has fallen on the toe of your work sneaker, there might be a crack in the
toe cap. This is exactly what is supposed to happen with a safety shoe, but it also means
they need to be replaced. They are no longer safe, as their protection is "used up," even if
no visible damage is apparent on the outside.
