A good pair of safety shoes is an important foundation.
But employees who spend a lot of time standing and walking every day may sometimes need just a little extra support. And can you just put any old insole into a certified pair of safety shoes? It’s not always that simple. That’s why DTCH® partners with Podomotion.
The shoe may be good, but the foot is unique to each person.
Some people can walk all day without any problems using standard insoles, while others experience tired feet or have issues with, for example, their feet, knees, hips, or back.
There isn’t always a single answer to this. That’s why Podomotion looks not only at the shoe, but also at the person who has to walk in it. When an employee has symptoms, Podomotion can conduct a podiatric examination. This may include an assessment of:
- Foot position
- Posture
- Gait
- Load
- And the way a person moves.
Personalized shoe recommendations
Podomotion can provide personalized advice to employees to help them choose the right shoes. This is especially useful when you want to provide safety shoes to multiple employees, and not everyone has the same foot type, preferences, or foot issues.
And if a custom orthotic is needed, Podomotion ensures that the DTCH® x orthotic combination is fully CE-certified. That’s the safe way to go!
